I tumbled headfirst into the wild, wacky world of hunting thanks to my one and only love: my husband, den Oli. He dazzled me with tales of his adventures, like a modern-day Hemingway but with less beard and more camo. Soon enough, I found myself tagging along on his hunts, trudging through the wilderness in search of... well, whatever happened to cross our path.

Fast forward a year, and I was the proud owner of a shiny new hunting license. I’d been officially inducted into the hunter’s hall of fame, or at least that’s what it felt like. My mission was clear: waste not, want not. If an animal was going to be on the menu, I was determined to use every last bit of it. And so, my crafty side kicked in. Pheasant and duck feathers? Perfect for some fab earrings. Move over, Tiffany’s – there’s a new jeweler in town!

But it wasn’t just about the DIY projects. I started to get it – the rush of adrenaline, the thrill of a perfect shot. Hunters talk about these moments like they’re epic tales of heroism, each one filled with drama and minute details. And that’s when the lightbulb went off. Why not turn those spent bullet cases into keepsakes? Little shiny mementos of those legendary hunting tales. So that’s exactly what I did – turning the leftover remnants of our adventures into eternal memories.

And now, a big shout-out to den Oli, my soulmate, partner-in-crime and my biggest fan (he is also my dedicated crash tester :-D).
